General Dynamics to Bring Pentagon VoIP

Awarded an $18 million contract from the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems, General Dynamics Information Technology will design and implement a VoIP system for the Pentagon.

This is not the first governmental contract that Virginia-based General Dynamics has been awarded. This latest contract is actually an extension and modification of a contract awarded in June 2002.

A multifunction VoIP system will be implemented in the Pentagon by General Dynamics, working with the Information Technology Systems Project Office for the Pentagon Renovation project.

Voice-over-Internet-Protocol is the next step in developing a 21st-century, network-centric IT infrastructure for the Pentagon. General Dynamics is pleased to have the opportunity to expand upon our record of success as we move into the next phase of the Pentagon Renovation.
