Verizon Says No to Spammers
Verizon filed a lawsuit against unidentified spammers for the illegal and unsolicited telemarketing campaign which targeted Verizon Wireless customers.
Verizon explained that during March 2007 over 1 million calls with the Caller ID “712-429-0367″ or similar numbers were made to Verizon customers, in an attempt to sell low interest rate mortgage loans.
Verizon Wireless claims that such activity breaches customer privacy. Verizon has since done its best to assure customers that every possible action to protect their privacy is being taken.
