VoIP to UK Sony PSP
A portion of the UK’s estimated 8 million Sony Playstation Portable handhelds will soon be supporting wireless internet connection video and voice calls.
These calls will be handled by a soon-to-be-released camera and microphone for these handheld devices.
At first the wireless calls will be limited to other PlayStation Portable users and some BT phones. The first stage will include some 2,000 BT hot spots in the UK, primarily in restaurants, hotels, airports and train stations, says BT.
BT’s VoIP-compatible Century Network technology will be fueling this new PSP service.
